The Perry Chamber of Commerce will host their 6th Annual Fireworks Drive tomorrow, kicking off bright and early, right here on the Raccoon Valley Radio network.
Starting at 6am, we will start taking pledges here at the KDLS studios in Perry and the Big Red Radio will be set up downtown Perry near the public library, broadcasting live and collecting donations.
One of the highlights of the day is the annual pie auction during the 8 o’clock hour when baked goods made by local celebrities are auctioned off live on KDLS.
All money collected throughout the day will go directly toward Perry’s fireworks display on the 4th of July. But if that’s not enough incentive, chamber executive director Bob Wilson says local businesses have offered up some extra goodies such as a laptop and gift certificates to encourage people to donate.
The fundraising efforts will continue all day tomorrow with a goal of $10,000.
Be sure to tune into the excitement right here on the Raccoon Valley Radio network.
