The application window is closing for area high schoolers interested in applying for a scholarship through the Guthrie County Youth Foundation.
The scholarships are for students who plan to further their education in two or three-year programs in a vocational, technical or medical field. Last year, the Foundation gave away 20 $250 scholarships to students from Adair-Casey, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Guthrie Center, Panorama and West Central Valley.
Area home school students are also eligible to apply.
Applications are available in area high school guidance offices or from Luann Waldo, who can be emailed at ciapub2@netins.net. The application deadline is next Monday, April 7th.
The recipients of this year’s Guthrie County Youth Foundation scholarships will be announced at senior awards night in each school district.
