The Jefferson-Scranton School Board met last night in regular session.

The Board approved raising the limit of the depository amount from $1 million to $3 million in The Educational Liquidity Fund and changing the time period to every month instead of twice a year to transfer funds from the School Infrastructure Local Option Sales Tax to Debt Service.

Superintendent Tim Christensen reported that they are interviewing for the four mentor teacher positions with the Teacher Leadership and Compensation Grant and they’ve named the three instructional coaches who includes Pat Johansen for the high school level, Brenda Onken for middle school and Shannon Hansen for the elementary level.

During the district reading update Julie Neal told the Board that they are serving about 34 students for the Title I after school reading program which will end in April.  She commented that they are looking to open it up to all students next school year.
