Though property taxes in Dallas County will decrease slightly once again in fiscal year 2015, salaries for the County’s elected officials will increase.

Last week the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the Dallas County Compensation Board’s salary increase recommendation for elected officials.

As a result, the County auditor, treasurer and recorder will each see a 4.8% increase in compensation, with the auditor and treasurer receiving $71,547 salaries and the recorder earning $71,121 annually.

The sheriff and attorney will both see a 5.4% increase in salary, earning $93,097 and $111,173 respectively.

The Supervisors will see the smallest increase in 2015 with 3% more compensation and a total of $48,785 annually.
