Former Perry Police officer Rick Kuhn has pled guilty to assault.

According to online court records, a summons for appearance was issued for Rickey Joe Kuhn on Tuesday, March 11th.  He was charged with one count of assault for an incident that occurred on December 24, 2013.  Kuhn pleaded guilty to the charge in court on Thursday.

As we’ve reported, Kuhn was let go from the Perry Police Department on December 31, 2013 after 18 years of service.  Following his departure, the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation, the Dallas County Attorney’s Office and the City of Perry initiated an investigation into allegations against Kuhn.
