The Guthrie County Pork Producers Association is hosting its annual banquet in less than two weeks and all area residents are invited to attend.

It is the golden anniversary of the organization, meaning its the Pork Producers’ 50th annual banquet, and Association President Jeff Meiners says he’s hoping for a bigger crowd than ever at this year’s event.

The dinner begins at 5:30pm on Saturday, March 15th, and is being held at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds Community Building.  Entertainment from comedian Willie Farrell will accompany the event along with a pie and trophy auction.

Meiners says past presidents and pork queens are encouraged to attend this year’s dinner to celebrate the Association’s milestone anniversary.
