One of the last chances for the public to discuss topics with the Greene County Medical Center Chief Executive Officer will be this afternoon.
The “Coffee With Carl” public discussions started last October in Rippey and the final session will be this afternoon at Greene Bean Coffee in Jefferson from 2:30-3:30pm.
It has been a six-month venture that the CEO Carl Behne visit every city in the county to explain and give updates to community members about the building expansion project and any other updates of relevancy about the medical center.
Behne says they are still planning for early April to have their groundbreaking event for the expansion project.
“Think we’re still online for that first part of April. Again, ultimately it depends on the awarded bid on the 12th of March. But after that that contractor whoever it is will end up working with us to develop kind of a mobilization plan.”
He comments that weather is also a factor, that they will wait until there’s no snow and the ground warms up before they start the construction project.
Behne will be available to address any questions, comments or concerns the public might have at the afternoon event at Greene Bean Coffee today.
