The ADM boys basketball season came to an end in Harlan last night, as the Tigers fell to the third-ranked Harlan Cyclones in their first-round district playoff game, 83-63.
Coach Aaron Mager’s club got off to a nice start against Harlan, trailing by just two after one quarter of play, but the Cyclones used a 28-point second quarter to take a 43-24 halftime lead.
Just as they did in the two teams’ first matchup back on January 11th, the Tigers struggled to find an answer defensively for Harlan’s high-scoring duo of Trey Lansman and Nathan Cave last night. They combined for 39 points.
But it was ADM senior point guard Logan Essy who led all scorers in the contest. Essy ended his season on a high note, tallying a career-high 32 points in the losing effort.
With last night’s loss in the books, the Tigers finished their 2013-14 campaign 6-16 overall.
