Greene County ExtensionAny Greene County commercial pesticide applicator are invited to several continuing instructional courses by the ISU Extension office in Jefferson later this spring.

Coordinator Michael Cooley says the state requires any commercial pesticide applicator to attend training sessions throughout the year to keep their certification.

On Wednesday, February 26th from 9-11:30am will be Seed Treatment in Category 4 and on Wednesday, March 5th from 1:30-4pm will be a continuing education course on ornamental and turfgrass application.

Individuals who need to be certified in category H for certified handlers can attend a workshop on Wednesday, March 26th from 9-11:30am.

Cooley adds that any certified crop advisor can also receive education credit by attending any of the training sessions.

Cooley requests pre-registration to be done the day before each training session to avoid paying a late fee at the door the day of a workshop.  To sign up or for more information, contact the extension office at 386-2138.
