basketball thru hoopWell, let’s try it again–the ADM boys basketball regular season will conclude tonight after last night’s game was postponed due to the blizzard that struck central Iowa.

At 6-14 on the season, ADM takes on the 11-9 Norwalk Warriors in their regular season finale.  Coach Aaron Mager says the key to a Tigers win and ending the season on a high note starts with finding a way to nullify Norwalk’s substantial height advantage.

“Learning to defend an entire team that has big guys that we just don’t match up to physically–we’re going to have to have a five-man scheme for that.  We’re going to be able to provide help and then also clear the rebounds to get the possession over with.”

Coach Mager would also like to see his team improve in one specific area offensively tonight, especially with Harlan up next in the district playoffs.

“As always we’ve got take care of the basketball ourselves and be efficient on offense.  That’s we were able to work on as this week continued, just trying to shore up some of our loose ends and mental mistakes.  If we can get our goal–one of our game goals is always to commit 12 or fewer turnovers–if we can do that tonight against Norwalk and then next week against Harlan that will certainly help our chances.”

Tip-off of the boys’ regular season finale tonight is slated for approximately 7:30pm inside the ADM North Gym.
