The precautionary boil advisory for the City of Minburn has been lifted.
The water samples the City sent in for testing to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources came back cleared of any potential bacterial contaminants from a water main break that happened last Saturday, February 8th.
Officials say the cause of the break by the elementary building is likely weather-related and it is the worst one that the City has ever experienced.
The water main was repaired by Monday morning, shortly after crews shut the water off to the entire town. Authorities have declared the water is safe to consume without having to boil it anymore.
