Monday, February 10th
A deputy spoke with the driver of a semi-tractor trailer that was experiencing mechanical problems on A Avenue near the Greene- Carroll County line. The driver indicated that a repair truck was dispatched to help.
A deputy was advised of a reported careless driver westbound on Highway 30 leaving Grand Junction. Due to the deputy patrolling in another part of the county, a Jefferson Police Office initiated a traffic stop on that vehicle near Grimmell Road on 220th Street. The Police Officer determined that the vehicle was experiencing mechanical problems that were distracting the driver.
Tuesday, February 11th
A deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1300 block of 310th Street. The deputy was not able to locate any vehicle in the area upon his arrival.
A deputy while on routine patrol checked an unoccupied vehicle on the Highway 144 diagonal near 280th Street.
A deputy was asked to remove a cat from a residence in Scranton.
A deputy was advised of the theft of lumber from a building site in Scranton. The theft is under investigation at this time.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Jefferson Police Department in finding a reported missing youth. The mother of the youth soon reported that the young man had walked home from school and was safe.
Wednesday, February 12th
A deputy was advised of two people walking eastbound on 220th Street near the railroad overpass at Grand Junction.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
