The Adel DeSoto Minburn community school district board of education will hold their monthly meeting tonight.

Items on the agenda include a public hearing and approval of the early start calendar, approval of design development and geotechnical exploration of the Adel Elementary and DeSoto Intermediate projects and approval of hiring an additional high school assistant softball coach.

The board will then discuss the elementary dean position, approve the modified allowable growth dropout prevention application, create a committee to study the Minburn Agriculture Education Center, approve school fees for the next year and approve the high school world language trip to France.

Finally, the board will then hear a bond issue update, discuss the first draft of the 0214-2015 school calendar, discuss the budget and talk about teacher leadership and compensation planning.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the district board room in Adel.
