Class 1A and 2A high school wrestling programs in the state of Iowa enter the postseason today with Sectional tournaments. All the action in both classes begins at 12 p.m. The top two individuals in each weight class advance to Feb. 15 district tournaments and the top two teams move on to dual meet regional competition on Feb. 11.

Perry hosts Class 2A Sectional 12 inside the Perry High School gymnasium. Greene County, Harlan, Kuemper Catholic (Carroll), West Central Valley (Stuart), and East Sac County (Lake View) are the other teams at Perry today.

Alleman is the site of 2A Sectional 7 hosted by North Polk. The ADM (Adel) Tigers go to Alleman, along with Woodward-Granger, Bondurant-Farrar, Saydel (Des Moines), and Grinnell.

Ogden is hosting 1A Sectional 9 and is being joined by Coon Rapids-Bayard, Guthrie Center, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Nodaway Valley (Greenfield), Panorama (Panora), and Southeast Warren (Liberty Center).
