The Chief Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to a minor two vehicle accident that occurred in Paton. Madison Jo Stauffer 18 of Paton was westbound on Tallman Street in a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser when Christopher Derry 28, also of Paton, was traveling north on Park Street and failed to stop at the stop sign striking the Stauffer vehicle. The 2011 Dodge Caravan that Christopher Derry was driving sustained an estimated $1500 in damages, as did the Stauffer vehicle. Christopher Derry was issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign.  There were no injuries reported due to the accident.

A deputy was advised of careless driving on 220th Street near R Avenue. The deputy did locate the vehicle in question and issued a citation for unsafe passing.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
