The ADM Tigers swept the Perry Bluejays on the hardwood last night in a varsity doubleheader heard on both K107 and AM 1310 KDLS.
In game one, the Tigers pulled off the home upset, defeating the 4th-ranked Jayettes 52-49 thanks to a high-scoring fourth quarter. Perry led 38-31entering the final stanza, but ADM outscored the Jayettes 21-11 in those last eight minutes to eek out the close win.
ADM had three girls score in double-figures on the night–Brianna Mueller led the way with 16, while Madi Bertman and Molly Jacobsen had 14 and 10 points respectively.
Star forward Claire Marburger had 26 to lead Perry in the loss.
Then in the boys contest, ADM rode a career-high 24 points from junior forward Kyle Ferguson to an 82-70 win over the Bluejays. After a back-and-forth second quarter that saw six lead changes, the Tigers controlled play in the second half en route to their fifth win of the season.
Perry star Shammond Ivory led all scorers in game two, finishing with 31 points.
Next up for ADM and Perry: the Tigers travel to Boone tonight while the Bluejays play host to Winterset.
