Two Jefferson subjects face several charges following stops at three different gas stations this week.

Greene County Sheriff Steve Haupert says at 10:11pm on Monday night, a deputy responded to an incident at the Sparky’s One Stop gas station in Churdan.  He states that 21 year-old Zakkariah Dylan-Levi Boudewyn and 23 year-old Mischell Cristen Lampe, both from Jefferson, allegedly exited a grey Dodge Charger driven by 32 year-old Matthew David Kraft of Rockwell City and started demanding money from Sparky’s employee Heather Garcia.

Haupert notes that the gas station had just been locked up and that a fight started between the three and a bystander, Travis Venticher of Churdan, intervened to help calm the situation.  Boudewyn got away from Venticher and drove his 2000 Ford Taurus into one of the gas pumps causing damage to the pump and destroyed Venticher’s vehicle.

When the deputy arrived at the gas station, both suspects left the scene in the same Charger.

Then around 12:12am that night, Jefferson Police Chief Dave Morlan says the two suspects had stopped at the Sparky’s One Stop gas station at 606 East Highway 30 East.  He states that both subjects were dropped off after causing criminal mischief with Kraft’s Charger and were later picked up and given a ride to the 24-hour Sparky’s One Stop in Jefferson by volunteer fireman Brett Cranston.

Chief Morlan reports that when Sergeant Nick Sorensen arrived on scene, both suspects were hysterical and fighting among themselves and had blood on them.  During the incident, Boudewyn and Lampe were spitting at Sorensen and were non compliant.  As Sorensen separated Boudewyn, Cranston helped to handcuff Lampe, while he handcuffed Boudewyn.

Once the two were taken to the Law Enforcement Center, they were checked out by Greene County Emergency Medical Services with no treatment needed for anyone involved in either incident.

The two adults were later booked into the Greene County Jail and now face several charges.

Boudewyn is charged by the sheriff’s office for a Class B Felony for first degree robbery, two counts of Class C Felonies for assault while participating in a felony, a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief, aggravated misdemeanor for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent and failure to have a valid driver’s license.  He is additionally charged from the police department for a serious misdemeanor for assault on persons engaged in certain occupations, disorderly conduct, interference with official acts and first offense for public intoxication which are all simple misdemeanors.

Lampe is charged by the sheriff’s office for a Class B Felony for aiding and abetting  robbery in the first degree and a Class C Felony for assault while participating in a felony.  She is additionally charged from the police department for an aggravated misdemeanor for a third offense for public intoxication, a serious misdemeanor for assault on persons engaged in certain occupations, disorderly conduct and interference with official acts which are both simple misdemeanors.

Sheriff Haupert says they are also accused in connection with another incident at a Casey’s General Store in Lohrville and are charged with disorderly conduct by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office which took place about two hours before the Churdan incident.

Chief Morlan adds that Lampe was transported to the Carroll County Jail and Boudewyn remains in the Greene County Jail and both are held on a $100,000 bond.
