The Greene County wrestling team hosts Gilbert tonight in the middle school gym in Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference dual meet. The Rams are 8-10 overall and 3-3 in the conference while the Tigers are 4-1 in HOIAC dual meets. Forfeits have been an issue for Coach Mark Sawhill’s Rams this season, but of the matches actually wrestled, the Rams have won far more than they’ve lost.

Tonight’s meet is the final tuneup prior to the Jan. 25 HOIAC tournament in Jewell hosted by South Hamilton. Wrestling starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and Greene County is the two-time defending tournament champion.
