Trey Tucker was playing eighth grade basketball last year at this time. One year later, the Greene County High School freshman is not only a varsity starter for the Rams, he’s averaging 19 points a game and is riding a seven game streak of 20 or more points per contest. The 5′ 9″ lefty has been particularly adept at shooting the ball in the seven games the Rams have played this month. He’s scored between 20 and 34 points in all seven and after starting with a 1-6 record, Coach Jeramie Hinote’s team has won four of their last five and stands at 5-7 overall and 4-7 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play.

Tucker and the Rams will have another challenge on Friday night when they travel to Baxter to face CMB as the second part of a girl/boy doubleheader. The Raiders are having their best season in years at 11-3. Coverage on KG98 begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
