All Perry area community members are invited to bid Police Chief Dan Brickner well at a retirement celebration tomorrow afternoon.
The Chief’s last day with the Perry Police Department is January 31st, just shy of his 20 year milestone with the local force.
The future of the department’s leadership is still officially undecided. The open position is posted and will be through Monday the 27th. That night the City Council is expected to approve a hire to fill the vacancy, most likely promoting Assistant Chief Eric Vaughn.
Tomorrow’s reception for Chief Brickner takes place at the public safety building from 1-4pm.
