The Guthrie Center School District has announced that this April will bring with it the inaugural Guthrie Center Alumni Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The event, which will be held the weekend of April 4th & 5th in the high school gym, is only for individuals who have graduated from Guthrie Center, however one ‘dads or moms of grads’ team will be allowed according to event organizer and assistant basketball coach Steve Froehlich.

Men’s teams may only have a three-year age span and they must be consecutive years.  Women’s teams may have a five-year age span.

Cost for entry is $100 per team, with all proceeds going to the Guthrie Center athletic department.  The deadline to enter a team by is Friday, March 21st.
