The ADM wrestling team lost two close matches to Carlisle and Winterset at its triangle dual meet last night in Winterset.
In their first match, the Tigers fell 42 to 36 to the Carlisle Wildcats, with the match actually coming down to the final match. The teams entered the 182-pound dual between Damon Piatt and Darold Baker knotted up at 36, but Piatt was able to pin Baker to seal the Carlisle win.
Then in match number two, ADM fell to host Winterset by a score of 45 to 30.
The stand-out Tiger performers on the night were 152-pounder Zach Johnston and heavyweight Nathan Heath, who each won both of their matches via pins.
At 132 pounds, Trevor Harsh also won both of his matches on the night, with one of those wins coming by pin.
The ADM wrestlers will be in action again tomorrow for another triangle dual meet. That will be at home against Carroll and Bondurant-Farrar.
