The Greene County Chamber sold over $28,000 chamber checks this year with most bought in the last two months of 2013.
Chamber Director Chris Henning says she’s amazed by how many chamber checks were sold this year. She points out that this is a record year for chamber checks.
Henning explains that $28,000 will be used seven times that amount throughout the county.
She comments that several area businesses bought lots of chamber checks to give to their employees as their holiday gifts which in turns helps out the local economy.
She appreciates everyone looking to keep their money locally and looks to improve upon that amount for chamber checks this year.
