As 2013 winds down, Greene County residents are reminded that several businesses and offices will be closing early on Tuesday and more will be closed on New Year’s Day.

The Jefferson Post Office will be closing at noon on Tuesday and remain closed on Wednesday in observance of the New Year holiday.  The Greene County Community Center and the Jefferson Public Library will be closing on New Year’s Eve Day at 6pm and stay closed on Wednesday.

Library Director Jane Millard would like to remind everyone that nothing is due to the library when its closed for a holiday.

The Greene County Courthouse and state offices, the Chamber and Jefferson City Hall will be closed on New Year’s Day.
