While this past weekend’s robbery in stand-off that ended in Perry had an ending that no one was hoping for, the teamwork and cooperation between several area law enforcement agencies helped keep others in the area safe.
“The teamwork amongst all the different agencies, from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the (Department of Criminal Investigation), the (Federal Bureau of Investigation), the (Special Emergency Response Team), and the Perry Police Department there’s a great working relationship amongst those folks and I think they did everything they could and so did we do what we could do? Yes we did. Are we content? No. We never want to see a loss of life like that so yeah, kind of a rough ending. It weighs heavy on all of us” says Brickner.
That’s Perry Police Chief Dan Brickner. He says tragedies like these are always tough, but especially around the holidays. He and the department send their thoughts and prayers to all who knew Caleb Anderson.
