ADMThe ADM wrestling squad won its first two head-to-head dual meets of the season on Tuesday,  but their most physically grueling test of the young season will begin tomorrow morning at 10am in Grinnell.

ADM will wrestle in five, full-schedule meets against Grinnell, Bondurant-Farrar, East Marshall, Wilton and Mount Pleasant.

Head coach Justin Schmauss knows that it will be a demanding day for his wrestlers, but he believes such tournaments are good for their conditioning in the long run.

“I like scheduling (this) because you’re guaranteed to have those matches.  You have to get mentally ready five times because you know you’re going to have a match.  This is just good to have that more mat time, so it’s definitely good to have these every now and then.  We’ve got this (one) this weekend and kind of the same scenario next weekend at Waterloo.”

Schmauss thinks his wrestlers will deliver with their effort throughout the day tomorrow, but it is how they recover and take care of their bodies next week that will determine how they wrestle in Waterloo.

Tune-in to Monday’s sports for results from ADM’s five dual meet matchups tomorrow.
