#GivingTuesday may have come and gone but it’s not too late to donate to your favorite cause.

The movement started in 2012 as a national day to give back during the giving season.

As we mentioned, HCI Care Services once again participated in the second year of the initiative.  Their goal is to raise money for the Final Wish Program which helps patients and their families enjoy things on their “bucket list” before they pass.  Katie McIntyre with HCI Care Services says past wishes include taking a patient and their family to an indoor waterpark resort on vacation and helping another ride a motorcycle one last time.

Dan Raedeker, director of the HCI Foundation says #GivingTuesday was the kick off to their final wish peer-to-peer fundraising campaign.  He says they’re grateful for those who have supported the campaign so far and look forward to reading their goal in the next month.

That goal was set at $10,000 and so far more than $600 has been raised.  The website CrowdRise.com is doing a Holiday Challenge and HCI Care Services hopes to be one of the top fundraisers so they can earn extra money for the cause.
