After the Dallas County special bond referendum vote for a new county administration and law enforcement center failed to pass back in August, we asked Adel DeSoto Minburn schools superintendent Greg Dufoe if he was worried about the district’s February getting enough “Yes” votes to pass.
“I believe strongly that our citizens look at each issue separately. Our folks are intelligent and have been very supportive of our schools. So I think they’ll look at this as a separate issue and the individual merits of our needs versus what the county may have had” says Dufoe.
Plus, Dufoe says he thinks residents will appreciate the amount of time spent planning.
“I think most people are or will be satisfied that we’ve taken a very lengthy, engaged, thoughtful process and struggled with a lot of options and looked through those to try and come up with what is best for our students now and our students in the future, our citizens and our tax payers.”
