On June 7th, the Greene County Sheriff’s office conducted a search warrant at 405 North 16th Street in Grand Junction and arrested Patrick Ryan Thompson, Sr. on several burglary charges and possession of a firearm by a felon along with 410 rounds of ammunition for a handgun was found in his pockets.
District Court Judge, the Honorable Adria Kester sentenced to five years in prison after a guilty plea was entered by the 22 year-old on November 15th. However, due to time served, the sentence was reduced to three years of probation.
Court documents show that he was also fined $750 and ordered to pay a surcharge of $262.50, $310 in restitution for attorney fees and $140 in court costs.
According to Iowa Courts Online, Thompson was also convicted of child endangerment earlier this year and fifth-degree theft in October of 2012 along with various traffic violations.
