Perry junior Atem Akok has been the consistent leader of a talented Bluejay cross country squad all season long. Tomorrow in Fort Dodge at the state meet, he will have to do it alone. Akok will represent Perry in the boys state cross country meet in Fort Dodge. Akok won the state qualifying meet in Winterset last week and appears to be peaking at the right time. “Atem has been one of those kids that just keeps getting stronger and faster with each passing week. Its kind of scary to see his potential since he is still very young in the sport. He works hard and he has the talent and drive to be the best. He will put forth a good effort,” said Perry Head Coach Jeff Fox.
The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will have complete coverage of the boys and girls state cross country meet.
