The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting an event to help teach people how to survive in the wild next month.
The Survival Shelters program takes place Saturday, November 2nd at the Kuehn Conservation Area near Earlham from 10am to 12:30pm.
The hands-on program will have participants will build a shelter in the wild that will keep them warm even on the coldest of nights.
Attendees should plan to dress for the weather, bring water and be prepared to get dirty.
