Guthrie Co. Hosp. courtesy vanThe Guthrie County Hospital Foundation has a fundraiser a week from today that local residents might be interested in attending.

The Foundation will host a jewelry “masquerade” from 10am to 5pm next Friday, October 25th, in the hospital’s Todd Neff Conference Room.

Outreach Director Becky Secoy says the fundraiser is being put on Masquerade Fundraising, a company that partners exclusively with hospitals to help raise money for those hospitals and their foundations.

All of the jewelry on sale next week will cost just $5, and Secoy says it would be a great way for local residents to get a head start on holiday shopping this year.  Cash, checks and credit cards will all be accepted.

Secoy says the hospital is also still looking for volunteers for their courtesy van service.  The service helps area residents aged 60 and older get to appointments, congregate meals and other functions at the hospital.

Those interested in helping with the service should contact the hospital’s fitness center at 641-332-3810.
