No major changes once again this week in terms of overall drought conditions.
The latest U.S. Drought Monitor from the National Climatic Data Center shows Dallas County and the majority of Guthrie County in a moderate drought, while the northern border of Guthrie County and most of Greene County is still in a severe drought. And the northwest portion of Greene County continues to experience an extreme drought.
According to the National Weather Service, Perry registered no additional rainfall this week, so far they’ve received 2.09 inches. 1.11 inches of rain has fallen in Jefferson so far this month, their monthly average is 2.44 inches. And Guthrie Center has received a total of 3.43 inches of rain already this month, nearly eight-tenths more than their normal monthly amount.
There’s no real chance of rain in the seven day forecast.
