Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) and Greene County square off in Class 2A District 8 football tonight at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The undefeated Knights are ranked first, second, or third, depending on the poll, while the Rams are 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the district. Kuemper relies heavily on a senior class of 18 players that have known little else but winning throughout their careers. The Knights were unbeaten in the regular season each of the past two seasons and they advanced as far as the semifinal round of the playoffs last year. Kuemper starts nine seniors on both sides of the ball, while Greene County has just three seniors starting on offense and three on defense.

The freshmen teams play at 4:45 p.m. with the varsity contest scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Coverage on KG98 begins at 6:30 p.m.
