Greene County High School’s homecoming is next week and there are several activities planned for students each day of the week.

Student council co-advisor Deb Marquardt says this year’s theme is “Celebrate the Present, Remember the Past”.

She comments that since Monday is a no school day for students, a Paint for Pride event will take place where students will paint the circle drive at the high school and there will be a powder puff football game at 7pm in Grand Junction with seniors and freshmen against juniors and sophomores.

Tuesday is “ER” day, which involves anything ending in “-er”, Wednesday is pajama day, Thursday will be throwback day and Friday is going to be Spirit Day.

Other events, Marquardt adds, are an ice cream social for students during lunch on Wednesday and on Thursday there will be an afternoon pep rally from 2:45-3:15pm.  There will also be a jersey auction, a community pep rally and homecoming court coronation ceremony at the middle school at 6:30pm.

Finally, on Friday, the homecoming parade will be at 2pm with the varsity home football game at 7:30pm and the dance will follow the game at the elementary building until 11:30pm.
