Despite the temperatures warming up the last couple days, fall is right around the corner and soon the leaves will start to fall.
The Perry City Council approved their annual fall yard waste burning procedures at this week’s meeting.
Beginning September 28th, Perry residents are allowed to burn yard waste in the backyard of their property from 10am until sundown.
All burning must be done on private property, at least 30 feet from any building inhabited by someone other than the landowner or tenant.
Most importantly, City Administrator Butch Niebuhr stresses that especially with the dry weather all burning needs to be supervised at all times.
Residents are also encouraged to find alternative methods of disposal for their yard waste, such as the weekly pick up that lasts through mid-November.
