The Board of Directors for the West Central Valley School District convenes tonight for its monthly meeting.

There are many items on the agenda to be discussed, including construction updates on the high school’s new athletic complex.  Superintendent Dr. David Arnold says bids will be considered for highway ditch re-grading along the south side of the new complex.  This area currently has many rough patches that need to smoothed out.  Arnold

The Board will also discuss the bus barn garage restroom rebuild. Since the possibility of putting in a new septic system is off the table, the Board must now decide whether or not to go forth and spend the approximately $24,000 to renovate the restrooms.

There will be consideration of a request from high school FFA participants to be sent to the National FFA Convention and Expo in Louisville, KY.  This year’s conference begins Wednesday, October 30th and ends Saturday, November 2nd.

Finally, the Board will go over results from last Monday’s elections and welcome the six new members.  Arnold says District 5’s Diane Harwood will be named the temporary Board President since she is the only holdover from the previous Board.

Tonight’s meeting will be at the Dexter Elementary Library and begins at 7pm.
