The Perry volleyball team lost a heartbreaker Tuesday night to Ballard in 5 games 18-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-10 and 9-15.  The loss drops Perry to 0-2 in Raccoon River Conference action.  The Jayettes were led by Amy Markres who finished with 8 kills as well as three solo blocks.  Claire Marburger chipped in 6 kills and Maggie Lowe dished out a team high 19 assists.   Julie Dew finished with 7 digs and went 9-10 at the service line with 4 ace serves.  Perry returns to action next Tuesday night with a home match against Bondurant Farrar.
