Yesterday was the last day for mail-in registration forms to be sent in for Guthrie Center’s “Heat the Streets” 5k run on Saturday, September 21st.

But don’t worry, those still interested in participating can sign up at 8am the morning of the event.  The race begins at 9am, and participants can either run or walk the 5k or walk a shortened 2k.

“Heat the Streets” originated back in 2007 and is sponsored by the Guthrie County Hospital Fitness Center.  Day-of registration is $20 per participant or $10 for students under the age of 19.  All proceeds go to the Guthrie County Hospital Foundation, which has established a fund to help people pay for membership that can’t afford monthly fees to the fitness center.
