1149386_559584977410623_1601553316_oStuart’s final Scoop the Loop night of 2013 is this Saturday evening from 5 to 10pm.

But be sure to get over to the Stuart Elementary gymnasium beforehand for a special ceremony to kick off the festivities.

The Stuart Rescue and Fire Department will receive a special salute at 4:30 to be honored for all the work and sacrifice they have made to serve the community through the years.

The Stuart Public Library will be there too, having its customary rootbeer stand out for the public to enjoy throughout the night, and Director Sandy Pollard says the library jumps at the chance to get involved with community events.

“You know, getting community life and events and fun kinds of things; fun and learning… we’re really dedicated to community growth, community building, capacity building, economic development growth and growth of ties in the community.”

For more details about Scoop the Loop, tune in to 107.9 FM, KKRF, later this week when we talk with event organizer Bob Cook.
