ACTAdel DeSoto Minburn High School students continue to score well on the ACT.

The school’s 2013 composite score is 23.9, matching the all-time high score for ADM students, achieved with 2011 graduates.

Iowa ranks as number two in the nation in ACT composite scores, only behind Minnesota, and ADM continues to outscore the state average.

Superintendent Greg Dufoe says ADM consistently compares very well to the scores achieved by other high performing school districts in the Des Moines area.

He attributes the test score improvement to a strong K-12 system with high-quality teachers, high expectations for student work, solid curriculum changes and new programs in the science, technology, engineering and math areas.

The ACT is the most widely used college entrance exam in the Midwest and Dufoe says it’s exciting to know ADM students are doing so well.
