ADMADM’s five game winning-streak against rival Dallas Center-Grimes came to an end Friday night.

The Tigers and Mustangs battled in a back-and-forth affair before DC-G scored two late touchdowns to pull out the road victory, 34-21.

ADM actually out-gained DC-G offensively, amassing 420 yards to the Mustangs’ 309.  But the Tigers’ five turnovers proved costly, and resulted in 27 DC-G points.

Quarterback Kolby Whisner completed 20 of 47 passes for 319 yards in his first varsity start.  Whisner connected on a touchdown pass with tight end Logan Essy to bring ADM within seven at 14-7 early in the second quarter, but he was also picked off four times.

Running back Grant Goeden accumulated over 170 yards of total offense for ADM and scored two touchdowns. Goeden’s 30-yard touchdown run on 3rd and 10 tied it up at 14 before halftime.

ADM next faces rival Winterset on the road this Friday.  Winterset beat Interstate 35-Truro 43-20 in its opening game.

We’ll have coverage of Tigers and Huskies starting at 7 o’clock Friday night, right here on the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
