Many area businesses and government offices are closed today due to the Labor Day holiday.

The Greene County Chamber and Jefferson City Hall building at 220 North Chestnut Street is closed along with the Greene County Community Center and the Jefferson Public Library.  The library wanted to remind everyone that checked out items aren’t due to the library on a holiday.

The county courthouse will also be closed in observance of Labor Day.

Some area businesses will be open, just contact them before you travel.  All government offices will return to normal hours tomorrow.
