Parents or guardians that are looking for a fun and interactive activity for your youngster can come to the Greene County Community Center for Tot Time.
Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner says starting Tuesday, September 3rd will be the return of Tot Time from 9-11am at the GCCC. She states that this is for children five years of age and younger.
She explains why they wanted to bring back Tot Time for a second year.
“It allows the kids to have something different to play with. We have push toys, tricycles, basketball hoops, a softball tee, we have a slide and then we’ll get the mats out for the kids. This is a good time for maybe moms or even dads to visit with other moms and dads and bring their kids to play together.”
Lautner stresses that this is not a program, just a service the rec center provides so an adult must always accompany a child during Tot Time. It will normally be Monday-Friday from 9-11am from September 3rd through May 23rd. It is free for members and 50 cents per day per child for non-members. Call or stop by the rec center with any questions.
