The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting a fall equinox sunrise event later this month.
All area residents are invited to get up early on a Sunday morning to learn about the celestial dance between the sun and the earth. Participants will be observing an astronomical clock constructed of stones at Hanging Rock Park.
Conservation staff will teach attendees about the clock and its history while celebrating the sun’s appearance on the clock’s fall equinox rock.
Registration for the event is not required.
It takes place Sunday September 22nd at 6:30am.
