The public is invited to the Jefferson Sierra Theatre for a movie called “At Any Price” with Churdan area farmer George Naylor.
As a special treat, president of the Sierra Theatre board, Chris Henning, invites everyone to a meet and greet with Naylor on Sunday from 4-6:30pm in the lower-level of the theatre.
Naylor says he was approached by the director of the film Ramin Bahrani to visit with area farmers about family farms and modern farming. He states the movie is about a family dealing with how the father is going to pass on his farm when both of his two sons aren’t interested in being farmers.
Naylor comments that there are references of Greene County in the movie and he appears in one scene and has four speaking lines. He gives a background into his scene.
“I had to travel over to Illinois (for the) filming of my scene. I was there for the whole day and of course got to meet Dennis Quaid and have my picture taken with him and things like that so. It was pretty interesting to see how they made the short scene that I was in took almost the whole day.”
“At Any Price” plays at the Sierra Theatre starting tonight and every night until July 26th at 7pm with matinees at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
