Greene County meets OA-BCIG (Ida Grove) on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Wall Lake in a Class 3A Region 2 semifinal with a trip to the July 15 Region 2 final on the line. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams are 26-9 overall while the Falcons are 19-12, but they’ve won seven of their last eight games.

The Rams won their first round game 10-0 over winless South Central Calhoun (Lake City) on Tuesday while OA-BCIG won in Wall Lake over East Sac County 8-3.

Greene County head coach Tom Kennedy told Raccoon Valley Radio he is looking forward to the opportunity to reach a regional final for the second time in three seasons. He added the Falcons are hot right now and it will take an outstanding effort to win.
