The Perry Jayette softball team will begin Regional play tonight when they travel to Boone for a 4A opener.  Perry finished the regular season 11-21 while Boone enters with a mark of 15-19.  The Torreadors defeated Perry twice this year winning 4-1 and 25-6.  Jayette Head Coach Tina Kenney has been happy with the way her team has responded since the lopsided loss to Boone 3 weeks ago.

“You always prepare as a coach to peak at the right time and I think offensively we are close to doing that.  Our seniors along with some of the younger players approach every bat with a focus and confidence that wasn’t there early in the season.  We’re going to have to score some runs to keep up with Boone tonight and I’m looking forward to the challenge and I know the girls are for sure.”
