Perry Baseball Wins on the Road

Today's Local Sports

The Perry baseball team rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to beat Winterset 9-3 in RRC baseball Wednesday in Madison County. Zach Roberts led the offensive charge finishing 3-4 with a RBI. Will Whiton and Michael Lansing each finished with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Whiton picked up his second straight win on the mound, striking out 11 in allowing just the earned run. Whiton has now struck out 29 batters over his last 16 innings. Perry improves to 16-13 on the season and 5-10 in RRC. Perry will play their final home game tonight when they host the Knights of Kuemper Catholic. Varsity will start at 7:30.
