Dallas Center Grimes scored 8 runs in the first inning Tuesday night in defeating Perry 10-5 in RRC softball action.  DCG outhit Perry 13-4 on the night.  The Jayettes battled back from the early deficit to cut it to 8-4 but could not overcome the early hole.  Julie Dew led the Jayette offense with 2 hits and 2 runs scored while Katelyn Whelchel and Emma Olenjzack picked up hits for the Perry offense.  Olenjzack pitched the entire way for Perry allowing 10 earned runs while striking out4.  The Jayettes will travel to Boone for a 4A Regional opener tomorrow night beginning at 7:00!  Shawn Kenney will have the play by play on 1310 KDLS.
